RFQ WORKBENCH / PRODUCT + COMMERCIAL SCOPE

Custom Drinkware RFQ: Send a Brief a Factory Can Quote

Make the first sourcing conversation more productive. This RFQ workspace helps brand teams, importers and procurement managers define the product, variant, branding and pack details that allow a factory discussion to begin from a shared scope.

Unbranded drinkware components arranged for a sourcing quotation comparison
Factory brief reference: confirm the body, closure and component direction before comparing quotations.

ONE BRIEF. FOUR CONNECTED DECISIONS.

Build the quote around the SKU—not a generic product name

◇ PRODUCT

What will the user hold?

Identify the body format, capacity direction, drinking route and reference model or drawing.

◌ VARIANT

How will the range split?

State quantity by colour, logo version and product configuration rather than only a total order figure.

▣ BRAND + PACK

What must be seen and received?

Bring artwork, finish direction, retail-pack requirements and destination-market context into the same brief.

Use the RFQ readiness board

You do not need every answer before contacting Golmate. The useful distinction is between a confirmed requirement, a preference and an open question.

01 / DEFINE

  • Target buyer and use occasion
  • Reference product, sketch or dimensions
  • Hot/cold use and critical user actions

02 / SPLIT

  • Quantity by SKU and colour
  • Lid, artwork and finish variations
  • Initial launch versus possible replenishment

03 / RELEASE

  • Market and packaging requirements
  • Sample and approval owner
  • Quality or evidence questions to resolve

Choose the product route before you compare price

EXISTING PLATFORM

Begin from an available drinkware direction when the body and closure already support the intended use. Record the changes in colour, decoration or packaging separately.

NEW DEVELOPMENT

Use a concept brief when the user experience or component arrangement needs a different direction. Mark which items are required, preferred or still exploratory.

What should I send if I only have a photo?

Send the image with notes on the features that must match and the features that may change. Add the intended user, order structure and destination market; a photo alone does not define the threads, material stack, closure fit or packaging scope.

Why does the quote need quantities by variant?

A single total can hide separate colour, artwork, closure or pack configurations. Listing the exact combination for each line makes it possible to discuss a commercial basis that matches the product plan.

Custom drinkware colours, lids, finishes, logos and packaging options
Configuration reference: colour, lid, decoration and pack choices should stay connected to the same SKU.

Make quote lines comparable

Ask for each proposed line to identify the body, closure, finish, decoration, packaging scope, sample stage and the commercial assumptions still open. A low unit figure is not comparable if the underlying lid, artwork or pack is different.

Use MOQ and order planning to map variant quantities before the commercial conversation.

The factory handoff sequence

01

Brief

Bring use, reference and variant information together.

02

Feasibility

Identify product-route questions and missing inputs.

03

Sample

Review the selected SKU against its actual scope.

04

Release

Tie the approved product, files and packaging to the order.

For the review stage, see the drinkware sample approval process.

Send a brief that starts the right conversation

Share a reference model or concept, intended use, estimated quantity by variant, artwork direction, packaging needs and destination market. Label uncertainties rather than turning assumptions into commitments. Golmate can then identify the product and documentation questions needed for the next step.
