From 11–13 November 2025, Golmate participated in Home Show Nigeria, marking an important first step in our broader exploration of the West African and African drinkware market.
A Compact Presence with Clear Objectives
For this exhibition, we presented a curated selection of products and concentrated on gathering meaningful insights rather than showcasing our entire portfolio.
Throughout the event, our efforts centered on:
engaging directly with local distributors and retailers
observing product categories with strong visibility in the market
understanding consumer usage habits across different scenarios
identifying potential opportunities for future regional adaptation
This approach allowed us to stay close to the market and acquire practical, authentic feedback.
Initial Observations from the Trip
Although this visit was exploratory, several early trends emerged that will guide our future assessments:
Strong demand for durable, long-lasting drinkware, particularly for household and outdoor use.
Preference for practical, easy-to-maintain designs over complex structures.
A price-sensitive environment, where value and reliability play a significant role in purchasing decisions.
Consistent interest in large-capacity bottles suited for hot climates and everyday mobility.
These observations are preliminary, serving as reference points for deeper research as we continue evaluating broader opportunities across West Africa.
Strengthening Our Long-Term Vision in Africa
Home Show Nigeria provided valuable insight into the expectations of local partners and highlighted areas where Golmate can deliver meaningful solutions.
Moving forward, we will continue to:
refine product offerings tailored to African markets
explore regional distribution partnerships
expand market studies into neighboring West African countries
develop drinkware solutions aligned with real local usage needs
Looking Ahead
We appreciate the conversations and feedback shared by everyone we met during the show. This exploratory visit may have been modest in scale, but it provided essential groundwork for Golmate’s long-term development in Africa.
