Is It OK to Hold Any Beverage in a Vacuum Flask? Master 6 Key Points to Use Safely

Due to the rising awareness of environmental protection, everyone has become accustomed to carrying thermos and environmentally friendly lunch boxes wherever they go and where they are used.

Although it is cleaned every day, after a few months of use, there will be a strange and sour smell. Maybe people tried various cleaning methods, but there is still a smell that cannot be washed away. This situation is actually related to whether it is used correctly or not.

1. Avoid milk, tea, coffee, carbonated drinks in vacuum flasks

The reason why the thermos bottle is forbidden to contain carbonated drinks such as soda and cola is easy to release carbon dioxide due to excessive pressure, and the beverage will be sprayed out when the lid of the thermos bottle is opened;

Milk, tea, coffee, etc. are prone to residual color and taste, and are not easy to clean in the thermos, and milk and dairy products are recommended to be consumed within 30 minutes, otherwise the contents will deteriorate under long-term sealing.

2. The  thermal tiffin box contains less leftovers, but directly contains freshly cooked vegetables

Everyone is accustomed to putting leftovers in insulated lunch boxes and turning them into lunch boxes the next day, but these dishes may have been infected by chopsticks or spoons to breed bacteria, and eating them into the human body may cause diarrhea.

3. Avoid hot water and beverages in vacuum flasks

Because the thermal insulation effect of some vacuum flasks is beyond imagination, pour hot water for 6-7 hours, and the temperature does not change much. If you drink it directly, you will be easily scalded.

4. The bottle body of the vacuum flask is damaged and the heat-resistant rubber is deformed, so it should be replaced in time

If you accidentally drop the thermos bottle and damage it or drink the thermos with rust odor, you should discard the vacuum flask.

Because the stainless steel alloy structure of the thermos bottle body has been damaged, the thermos bottle may dissolve some metal compounds that should not appear; and the heat-resistant rubber of the thermos bottle cap is damaged and should be replaced to be safe.

5. Rinse the vacuum flask with hot water, do not use detergent

When cleaning the thermos, just use high-temperature boiling water to clean it. It is sterilized by high-temperature sterilization. There is no need to use other cleaning agents. As long as it is cleaned and drained, it can be used safely.

6. It is advisable to use a long-handled brush for cleaning baby bottles to clean the thermos, never use a steel brush

It is forbidden to use a steel brush when cleaning the thermos, and scrub the thermos vigorously. These two actions will destroy the stainless steel material of the thermos. Therefore, it is recommended to use a plastic long-handled brush for cleaning baby bottles to clean the inside of the cup. Drain the vacuum flask upside down after washing.
